What does i3Engine forecast?

i3Engine forecasts the price range a stock is likely to trade within — a low and a high, for the day and the week ahead — with a confidence score. It does not tell you to buy or sell, and it does not publish a single target price framed as advice.

Does i3Engine predict which way a stock will go?

No. Direction is close to a coin flip (about 50%) in our own out-of-sample scoring, and we say so plainly. Our measured skill is in the range (how far a stock moves), not the direction.

What does "publicly scored" mean?

Every forecast is recorded before the session opens and then compared to what actually happened. We publish two measures: close in range (did the closing price land inside the band) and full-session in range (did price stay inside the band the whole session — a stricter test).

Question 4

How is the model trained and tested?

Accepted Answer

Vyuha is trained with a purged, embargoed, rolling time split: the test window is always after the training window, with a gap between them. Results are measured with walk-forward validation — the model is retrained at past checkpoints and scored only on the never-seen window that follows each one.
